Send us Fan MailBrothers and sisters in today's readings Jesus uses marriage & family to teach us about the kingdom of God - a Kingdom of love, understanding, unity, mercy, forgiveness; a kingdom which is God's gift, His presence, God Himself. Just as a man unites with his wife through the unbreakable bond of marriage to become one flesh with, so too God's children, each and everyone of us, we are called to be one with God in his love.Marriage, a union between a man and woman leads to family, a place where God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) dwells, , a place where couples show affection for each other, a place where children are nurtured - a factory of Hope, a place where love is celebrated. No one or no thing should be responsible for separating what God has assembled, Jesus warns. Not even Moses; It is not the will of God for any marriage to end in divorce. It is not the Will of God for anyone to turn away from God. For God desires that all become one with Him in His heavenly kingdom.Brothers and Sisters, we are invited today to reflect not only on the sanctity of marriage and family life but also of the intimate link between marriage, family and the kingdom of God.
