Mary Magdalene - The First Witness in the Garden (A Holy Week Easter Special)

In this episode of the Sojourner Storycast, we continue the story of Mary Magdalene, a woman whose life was transformed by Jesus, and witness how she moves from fear and brokenness to hope and joy. From being freed from demons to following Jesus faithfully, Mary’s journey shows us both the weight of our sin and the power of God’s grace. We follow the events of Holy Week: watching Jesus enter Jerusalem on a lowly donkey, witnessing Him in the temple, seeing Him anointed with costly perfume, and hanging at the cross as He dies for the world’s sin. Even when death and despair seem to have the final word, the story doesn’t end in sorrow.  On the first Easter morning, Mary goes to the tomb, expecting only grief—and instead she encounters the risen Jesus. She becomes the first witness of the Resurrection, called to proclaim the good news that the way back to God is open. Mary’s story reminds us that following Jesus isn’t about status, perfection, or understanding everything—it's about trusting the One who loves us completely. Even when life seems broken, confusing, or dark, God is at work, and His love is stronger than death.
