Matthew 25:34-40 - Ministering to Jesus

from Pastor Mike Impact Ministries · host Michael L Grooms

Today, Friday October 14 Ministering to Jesus Matthew 25:34-40 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'. What a great honor to minister to Jesus as we reach out to give and help others in their need! Today I want to take this opportunity to highlight two ministries that I’ve been a part of for many years. The first is a wonderful ministry called the Lampstand, that my friend Keith Farmer, the founder and director of Straight Street in Roanoke Va., was able open recently. The Lampstand is dedicated to serving survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking. Their 90-day program provides a safe home & comprehensive trauma-informed care for girls ages 12-17. They also offer professional training & prevention education. This Saturday evening, October 15 at 5:50, they are hosting their largest annual fundraiser called the Night of Hope. The event is sold out, but they would love for you to join them live on their Facebook page at this link: https://www.facebook.com/thelampstandva/ Even if you can’t attend this event, I would encourage you to make a donation to support this very worthy non-profit ministry. If you are not sure how to do it directly, you can do this through the Pastor Mike Impact Ministry website: https://www.pmiministries.org/ Just hit the donate button and make sure to designate the gift for the Human Trafficking Rescue Support which comes up under the General Ministry Support button.  I assure you every penny will go to them. PMIM has already made a large donation this year to this ministry and will be making another one for this occasion. Interestingly, today I am playing in the Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center annual golf tournament at Hanging Rock in Salem, VA, to raise funds for their organization. (BRAAC) is a nonprofit, nonsectarian center that provides education and services for children and families affected by autism and unique learning challenges, such as Learning Disabilities. I was privileged to be the co-founder with Angie Leonard, in starting the Blue Ridge Autism Center that met in our church facility for its first seven years. In 2009 it merged with the Roanoke Achievement Center whose mission was similar. For more information, their website is: http://braacroanoke.org/ You might have a heart for these special children and families and would like to make a donation to this worthy cause. You can also send it though us at https://www.pmiministries.org/ and I will pass the funds on to them. Just hit the donate button and mark your donation for Blue Ridge Autism Support which comes up under the General Ministry Support button. Thank you so much for your faithful support and prayers that allow us to pass on blessings to other very impacting ministries that we partner with! God bless!
