May 3 Daily Reading- Read the Bible in 1 Year

Thank you for joining me as we learn about the connection between Passover, First Fruits, Shavuot (pronounced shav-oo-oat) and Pentecost. As part of understanding and observing the festivals that God has appointed for us to observe, we count the Omer (pronounced oh-mare) today and then have our daily Bible reading session!Here is the link for a downloadable devotional if you would like to count the Omer for yourself. We will read about God telling Elijah to find King Ahab and let him know that God will send rain after 3 years of no rain in the land. We will see Elijah gather Israel and the false prophets of the fake gods to challenge them to call their false god to light their sacrifice on their alter. Then we will see God consume HIS offering on HIS alter that had been covered in water with fire! In our discussion for daily application we will discuss how God lovingly gathered His lost Israel to Himself, who were wandering like sheep. We will see discuss how frequently God continues to this very day to seek His lost sheep who do not even know they are lost! We will talk about God sending His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins, while we were still lost, so that He could gather us to Himself, the same way He gathered Israel to himself so long ago!
