Many may only know of Medellin, Colombia's second largest city, through the Netflix TV series Narcos and that would be to do a great disservice to the sprawling city. There is so much to do and see and the area has a welcoming atmosphere and a bustling nightlife that keeps tourist coming. I spoke to a local to find out about the city's transformation to the most dangerous in the world to a must see backpacker destination.
