The headlines today are dominated the impending release of a memo prepared by staffers for Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee. The FBI and the Justice Department are strongly opposed to making the memo public. President Trump is eager to have it released. Devon Nunes, the Committee Chair, also wants it made public, despite refusing to share it with his counterpart, Richard Burr, who heads the Senate Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 campaignThis comes after news that Robert Mueller is negotiating with the President’s lawyers to interview the President in connection with his investigation.In an 80 minute State of the Union address on Tuesday night, the President touched on a long list of issues, including trade.
