Mind Masters and You Supernatural Spiritual Abuse Many Christians go to church, pay their tithes, dance, sing, praise the Lord, yet they are confused. Let's find some answers. A New Age of mysticism has dawned. In the Sixties a few "so called Christian ministers" were saying in public gatherings: "God is dead". In 1966, The Church of Satan was organized by Anton LeVey in California and an occult revival was raging throughout the land. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi exploded on the scene with Transcendental Meditation. One local church that had just married two T. M. Teachers, invited the entire congregation to attend a seminar of T.M.! These seminars soon spread with mind bending religions and mind expanding drugs. These new spiritual experiences moved beyond the borders of the establishment so quickly the "God is dead" crowd 49 soon began to discover their new gods in the "gods of the East". This search for transcendence opened up new avenues of exploration in then gods of the East and now the new god of self. This search for some inner deeper meaning for man's existence was man's revolt against the boredom and un- fulfillment of materialism. They have not been afraid to charge our rationalistic, materialistic, mercantile culture with the depleting of the quality of human life. Leaders of these movements have stepped into the vacancy created by the church's prophetic silence.  We are living in the church of the five senses. It has, frequently, long departed from its inherited position of Godly supernaturalism. A church stripped of its supernatural authority is helpless in the face of a secular mystical revival. This type of church will be powerless in the crises because only a stronger power can supersede another power. A church that has let its supernatural, Godly power cease cannot see the problem, let alone fight it.
