Moment of Meditation: Preached among Gentiles (Galatians 1:16)

''[God] was pleased to reveal His Son to me, in order that I might preach Him among the Gentiles'' (Galatians 1:16). God reveals His Son to everyone. It may be by vision or by word. But God reveals Jesus to everyone. To Paul, Jesus appeared on the Damascus road. To the Gentiles, He sent Paul. This calling to preach to the Gentiles transformed the Christian Church. Several in the Jerusalem Church wanted Christianity to be for Jews only. They cringed whenever they heard about an Apostle or deacon speaking to a Gentile. They wanted to make sure that any Gentile coming to faith in Jesus became a Jew as well. But that is not what Jesus called Paul to do. Jesus called Paul to preach Him to all creatures. The same calling that He gives to you. Share your faith as Paul did. Don't think you can do it? Pray about it. Ask for God to show you the opportunities He is giving you to share your faith. He will give you the strength to do it. Amen.
