Genesis 7:16 And those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him. And the LORD shut him in. After Noah and his family and all the animals were inside the Ark, God closed the door. The great door Noah had put in the side of the Ark was closed and kept closed by God’s almighty power. God closes the door as both judgment and mercy. No one outside the Ark could open the door to get in. No one inside the Ark could fall out of the Ark. Those inside were safe. Those outside were condemned. The Ark’s door gives us a picture of Jesus’ cross. Those in the shade of the cross will have everlasting life. Those not shaded by the cross will have everlasting death. Are you under the shadow of Jesus’ cross? Now is the time to seek its refuge and reward. Amen.
