Monday | 10/12/2020 | Chicano Day Special w/ Good Morning Aurora

from Good Morning Aurora · host Studio B: The Host

We did things special today for Monday, we had fellow community partner Chicano back on the show for part 2! When last we spoke he had many things going on and today was no different. This brother has been up to a lot since last we spoke. From advocating for Aurora businesses to sitting down for a few cups of coffee in the morning, the man doesn’t stop! Most recently, Chicano was at Taco Movil doing his thing and also at Muebleria Furniture. On today’s episode we spoke about the A-Town Boxing Club and all of its wonderful activities. This is an initiative that has done a lot for the community until the pandemic forced it to temporarily cease. Rest assured it is still alive and well and the plan is to broaden its scope. There was also a round of applause for our friend for his recent appointment to the Aurora Public Art Commission! This man is dedicated! Shouts out go to all those struggling with loneliness and those other unseen issues; Good Morning Aurora has you back. Special thanks go to our friends at AMVETS Post 103, Mutual Ground and the Fox Valley United Way. Get out and vote, it’s your duty! Also, very special thank you to all Aurora veterans and to Raiz, MECHA & the Aurora Rapid Response Team. Don’t forget its’ Domestic Violence & Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Let us raise each other up and show empathy. Be a helping hand and show that you care. Be blessed, strong, fierce and motivated today. You got this!
