Monday | 10/19/2020 | Candidate Corner Pt. 7: Barbara Hernandez Returns!

from Good Morning Aurora · host Studio B: The Host

Kicking Monday off we had a friend of the show & dedicated public servant, State Representative Barbara Hernandez on the show! Our Candidate Corner section has become a great forum for speaking with our elected officials and those seeking office. Barabar is a lifelong Aurora resident and has been a fixture in our community for a long time. Representing the 83rd district, women’s rights, safety & access to quality health & education are just a few of the issues she fights for. In this episode we got to learn about the duties of a State Representative and what that means for constituents. We also spoke about the services and help her office provides and her story of becoming a leader. This is Barbara’s second appearance on our show and we spoke about the impact the pandemic has had on operations. Barbara has recently received many awesome endorsements and we discuss the fast approaching date of November 3rd! Shout outs go to our friends at Tredwell, Aurora Business United and the Aurora Public Art Commission. Much love and thanks to Cotton Seed Creative Exchange and McCarty Mills. So much love to all Aurora writers and artists, musicians and everyone involved in the arts. It’s Breast Cancer & Domestic Violence Awareness Month so let's do what we can to help those who struggle in our community. Awareness is key but so is action. Be blessed, strong and safe and we will see you all back for another great episode tomorrow. Stay tuned for more!
