Here's today's news: - Monday the 28th the office of Representative Barbara Hernandez is hosting the next Social Justice Committee meeting. This will be from 5 to 6 pm via Zoom. Rep. Hernandez will be joined by the Illinois Alliance for Reentry and Justice, who will be leading a conversation on improving social determinants of health from the perspective that healthy people = healthy communities. If you are interested in attending, please register with this link: bit.ly/febsjc - Tomorrow there will be a discussion on immigration hosted by the Aurora Public Library, Illinois (Santori Library) and the League Of Women Voters. This will take place via Zoom, guest speakers are Linnea Windel (President & CEO of VNA Health Care), Jenny Grobelski (Supervising Attorney, Justice For Our Neighbors) and Anallely Guerrero (DOJ Accredited DACA Representative, Family Focus). Use the link in the post to join this great discussion! - Alive Aurora is looking for high school students to apply for the Teen Advisory Board (TAB). The main task is to work on programs/clubs, events and build their leadership skills! Alive's TAB is a working board and leadership program. The application deadline is the first week of May 2022. We will onboard new teens in the Summer of 2022.
