Happy Monday everyone! We are here with Katrina Henderson & Mayra Torres of Quad County Urban League with us today. It's a brand-new week, a brand new day and we're excited to be here. Let's get into the news: - Thursday April 21st from 6 to 8 pm there will be a great Youth & Family Resource Fair. This will take place at the Prisco Center (150 W. Illinois Ave.) and will feature music, food and a whole lot more! Come out and celebrate with our great city and community organizations. See the flyer for more details. - The Veterans Gardening Day is taking place at Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry on Saturday, May 7th from 11 am to 1 pm. This will be a day of honoring the veterans of Illinois. Also, this will celebrate House Bill 2894, designating the 1st Saturday in May as Veterans Gardening Day. See the flyer for more details and thank you to all the sponsors for their hard work. - Thursday the 28th from 9 am to 3 pm there will be another Forklift Driver Certification class, hosted by the Kane County Sheriff’ Office. This one day class will be hosted at the Kane County Jail, 37W755 IL. Rt. 38 in St. Charles. There is a registration fee of $25 that covers your lunch! Scan the QR code on the flyer to register.
