Monday, December 18, 2023 - The Big Lie lives on; Cobb's map mess

from The Ron Show · host Ron Roberts

When Erick Erickson and Governor Brian Kemp are on the right side of something, you know the nuts have made some noise. A viral Tweet started making the rounds Friday afternoon then through the weekend insisting the governor implored Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger fix a 2020 vote snafu that never was, prompting a Kemp spokesperson to repudiate the actual "fake news." The Atlanta Journal Constitution printed a damning summation of all that's gone off the rails with the Cobb County Schools system of late, notably covering what Cobb County Courier and reporter Rebecca Gaunt has been on for weeks now. With that and several map re-draws either done, in court, or being mandated, my guest today was Erick Allen, Cobb County Democratic Party chair. Oh, and Pro Publica has traced the starting point for Justice Clarence Thomas' suckling at the teat of those bearing gifts. Turns out the conservative firebrand more apt to mumble something about "boot straps" instead got a lot of boots bought for him, and it began with him whining about his six-figure salary to a Congressman, with a thinly-veiled threat.
