Moonlighting The Podcast Swing Theme Music

from Moonlighting The Podcast

Grace and Shawna decided to choose Swing Music as their theme, and specifically purchased the rights as a homage to the iconic episode "The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice." Even though this episode is set in the 40s era, they thought it was fitting to utilise this type of sound, as Swing Music was a style of jazz that developed in the United States during the late 1920s and early 1930s. It became nationally popular from the mid-1930s. Big Bands of the time as well as the Bandleaders such as Benny Goodman were a dominant force in American popular music from 1935 to 1946. This was known as the Swing Era when people were dancing to tunes such as the Lindy Hop. The word "Swing" is used as a term of praise for playing that has a strong groove or drive. Some examples of Musicians from the Swing era include Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Cab Calloway, Jimmy Dorsey, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Woody Herman, and of course Glenn Miller. Swing has its roots in 1920s dance music. Unfortunately, during the World War II era, Swing music began to decline, but after the war, "Bebop" and "Jump Blues" gained popularity. Please enjoy this full version of Moonlighting The Podcast's Theme Swing Music.MOONLIGHTING THE TV SHOWThe show is all about the hit TV Show Moonlighting which aired from 1985 to 1989 starring Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd.Grace Chivell and Shawna Saari take a look at each episode in chronological order from the Pilot to the end of the fifth and final season. They discuss the direction, the production, the outfits, the lighting, the car chases, and the tumultuous relationship between Maddie Hayes and David Addison.FOR MORE INFORMATION:https://moonlightingthepodcast.comMOONLIGHTING COMMUNITY:Fans Facebook Group:Facebook Page:Instagram Twitter/XPURCHASE:Moonlighting: An Episode Guide Bookon TuckerDSPressOR on Amazon:Moonlighting MerchandiseYouTube Channel Learn more about Grace here:Learn more about Shawna here:Donate at Ko-fi.comPersonal Instagram:https://instagram.com/grace_chivellhttps://instagram.com/saari_not.saari Hosted on Acast.
