Mosaic: Preface

For the first fifteen years of my life, I lived disconnected from God, skeptical of His existence, and certain He had no interest in someone like me. Yet, I am profoundly grateful for how God shattered my doubts with His boundless love. Since embracing Jesus, one truth has brought immense peace and hope into my life: God’s unwavering fidelity to His promises. The Bible chronicles numerous promises God made, promises that find their ultimate fulfillment in Jesus.Did you know the Bible contains sections written centuries before Jesus’s birth, detailingHis life with astonishing precision? These passages, known as prophecies, are God’spromises made well in advance. If only a few prophecies were about Jesus, it would already be remarkable. But the Bible contains about 300 distinct prophecies describingJesus in intricate detail! Studying these prophecies lays a solid foundation for our faith,helping us comprehend the magnitude of Jesus’s actions.Thus, we begin an exploration titled “MOSAIC: The Prophetic Pictures of Jesus”. Thistitle reflects the idea of a mosaic, where each prophecy is a unique piece that, whencombined, forms a complete, detailed image of Jesus. As we navigate through God’sWord, each day offers a chance to examine an Old Testament prophecy and witness itsfulfillment in Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection.
