Motivation

from JOIN UP DOTS - GET RICH & LIVE FREE (Business Coaching With A Touch Of Life Coaching Too) · host David Ralph

In today's episode of Join Up Dots David, talks about Motivation, and more importantly the lack of motivation. Over the last few weeks, David has been speaking many of the listeners of Join Up Dots who indicate their desire to change their lives. They all come through with a wish that they were earning more money, having more freetime and quite simply living the life that they see others living. However, most of them are never going to get this lifestyle, no matter how much they say they want it...due to lack of motivation. Motivation isn't something that simply appears like magic and covers you with the kind of superpower that can move mountains. It just doesn't work like that. You cant take a pill and get motivation. You cant ask a friend to keep you motivated. You simply need to find it deep within yourself and nurture that motivation to achieve that goal until you actually achieve it. Through running Join Up Dots, there will have been many times when the thought of recording another podcast episode would have been the last thing in the world that David wanted to do. Hey, there is Netflix and Amazon to watch after all. But that isn't important to the success of Join Up Dots. Those things will jeep you away from achieving your aim quicker than anything. So how do you find the motivation you want, when you aren't sure it is something that you truly want. How do you start the ball rolling when it seems too big even to move an inch forwards. Well, you do it in exactly the same way that you would going to work, bathing the kids, arranging date night with the wife. You place it as a thing to do in your daily routine. You add it to your favourite mobile app, to beep and make you turn off that TV and go and do it. You say to your friends "No I cant meet tonight as I have a 30 minute motivation session" Believe me, as you will hear on today's show it isn't too hard to get going, but its not going to happen on its own. You have to take responsibility to make that motivation happen. So go out and conquer and thrive in your own lives.
