The BAME Awarding Gap project is working to eliminate the disparities in outcomes and experience of undergraduate Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) and white students at UCL. This awarding gap has persisted for many years and is caused by many different factors. Dr Alvena Kureshi, is the Faculty of Medical Sciences lead on the project and is working is to increase visibility of role models from a BAME background to improve students sense of belonging. In this episode, we hear from Mr Asif Muneer, consultant urological surgeon and andrologist, shares his experience as a BAME clinician-scientist.
