Murder by Jinn or Madness: The Unsolved Superhuman Matricide of Cairo
from Crime Night · host Crime Night
In 1994 Cairo, a shocking case unfolded inside a family apartment when two sisters, Huda and Abeer, violently turned on their mother, Hekmat. What began as a heated confrontation spiraled into an almost surreal scene of escalating aggression: the daughters displayed extraordinary strength, frenzied behavior, and bursts of hysterical laughter as they assaulted their mother. Neighbors and family members—including the father—tried to intervene but were either inexplicably overpowered or persuaded to retreat, deepening the mystery of the event. The sisters had a history of sudden personality changes and bizarre episodes dating back to an encounter with a white cat, which many around them believed marked the start of some form of possession. Adding to the intrigue, a neighbor named Fayza had previously quarreled with the family and allegedly threatened the girls with sorcery. The result was a brutal, senseless killing whose underlying cause—whether mental illness, manipulation, or something more mysterious—remains unresolved to this day.You can listen and download our episodes for free on more than 10 different platforms:https://linktr.ee/crimenight1Produced by:https://www.podcaistudio.com/
