Danny Schaefer : Founder of My 420 Tours Danny Schaefer is a pioneer in the development of the cannabis industry in Colorado and trailblazer in the marijuana tourism sector in America, integrating cannabis into mainstream travel experiences. When Colorado passed its landmark vote to legalize recreational use of marijuana in November 2012, Danny sold his interest in a telecoms company and set out with an entrepreneurial zeal for seizing on the “green rush”. With his business partner and founder, JJ Walker, he was the first to recognize the demand for cannabis-themed travel experiences in Colorado. They packaged the first-ever cannabis tour in 2013 — blending adventure, experimentation and education — and launched a full-service agency, My 420 Tours, in early 2014. A long-time advocate for the medicinal, therapeutic, and recreational benefits of cannabis, Danny has been highlighted and interviewed in national and international press for his role as the Father of Cannabis Tourism.
