My Dad Could Still Be Alive...
from The Paul McGregor Podcast
So for this episode I grabbed the microphone and shared what's on my mind right now. A thought that's been pulling me down..."My Dad could still be alive knowing what I know now".It's led to a mixture of emotions, I feel proud because of how far I've come and everything I've discovered but I also feel guilty and sad that my Dad could still be alive. With it approaching 10 years since his suicide as well it makes it difficult for me to picture how my life would be if he was still alive. It leads into the point of this episode, that education around mental health is so important. We need to become better educated, to understand it better, in case a crisis hits. I didn't know how to support my Dad when he went through his depression because I simply wasn't educated on it. I wasn't taught how to deal with it. I'll continue doing what I do until we have more research, education and understanding. Hopefully my honesty in this episode helps, and I just wanted to say a huge thank you for listening!A rating and a review always helps a Podcast get more exposure too, so if you have a minute spare, I'd truly appreciate it!Together, let's stand up to the stigma.Grab yourself a copy of my book here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Man-Up-Down-Standing-Inspirational/dp/1912478463Follow me on Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/pmcgregorcomConnect with me on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pmcgregorcomSee how I can help you here: http://www.pmcgregor.com Hosted on Acast.
