If he had not risen from the dead, we would be on our own. But he lives, and that makes a difference. We have the reliable direction of the Good Shepherd. He feeds us with his Word, protects us from the roaring lion, and leads us into the green pastures of eternal life. Jesus lives to be our Good Shepherd.
