THE CHAIR (S1/Ep65) — My Imaginary Graduation SpeechHello Beautiful People, I’m Your Host Dreme. I’m a Black woman, an educator turned tech entrepreneur but still an educator. Building a platform called THE CHAIR is a Black and Brown centered tech platform dedicated to supporting people on their hair journey. You can design hairboards, connect to hair stylists, and share hair care tips all in one space for a more joyous and streamlined experience. I built THE CHAIR Podcast to highlight hair journeys. A reminder to keep creating magic. As people sit in THE CHAIR you will get more than just hair stories. You will be immersed into experiences surrounding education, entrepreneurship, and identity. I have my BA from Lake Forest College. I have my M.Ed from UCLA and I have my MBA from Babson College. I am also an educator who has sat through many variations of graduations over the years and there is a comfort to the speeches that are meant to inspire and connect students as they move on to the next stage of their life. I wrote a graduation speech that I wish I would have heard when I sat in those same chairs.
