N17 safety issues in Sligo raised in the Dáil

The need for safety developments on the N17 between Sligo and Mayo were highlighted in the Dáil this morning. Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan TD and Sligo-Leitrim Independent TD Marian Harkin discussed improvements needed on the main road. Deputy Harkin said work needs to be started in sections involving Curry, Tubbercurry, and Collooney, while also enquiring the funding available for such projects. Minister Ryan didn't have the figures at hand but agreed that road safety must be a top priority:
