I am clearly the exception).Amanda Rettke dialed us up for a chat about her new book HOMESTEAD RECIPES: Midwestern Inspirations, Family Favorites, and Pearls of Wisdom from a Sassy Home Cook.  We discovered we had so much in common, including the great tradition of "supper," the semantics of "hot dish" vs. "casserole" and our unexpected common Minnesota roots. Amanda might also be the first guest to do some research on me!
