Dr. Kamesha Spates is an Endowed Chair, Speaker, Award Winning Mental Health Equity Researcher, and Suicidologist. Kamesha has 20 years of community-based research experience in her areas of specialization including race and gender-based stressors, the African-American experience, mental health, and suicidology. She has published dozens of articles and two books on these topics. In her free time, she enjoys reading, meditating, watching documentaries, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her husband and two beautiful children.
