Navigating Gastrointestinal Challenges: Insight Into GERD and H. pylori Management

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection are significant gastrointestinal challenges that impact patient quality of life, requiring proper diagnosis and treatment. In this 60-minute, case-based educational activity, multidisciplinary faculty guide clinicians through contemporary diagnostic techniques and evidence-based treatment strategies for both nonerosive and erosive GERD, as well as H. pylori infection. The primary care-oriented activity includes discussion on the importance of understanding the pathophysiology of these conditions, addressing the risks associated with the long-term use of proton pump inhibitors, and integrating newly approved therapeutic options, all to address unmet needs in current practice.
