But, he didn’t want to do it. He fled from God! A foolish pursuit, to be sure. This morning in God’s Word, we are reminded that even when God says things we don’t want to do, it is our privilege to follow him and his words, to listen, and apply them even if it’s hard. We have a Savior who kept every word that came from the mouth of God and rescued us from our disobedience. Now, we are free! Free to do what God commands.
