New government called to address Sligo accommodation crisis

There are calls to simplify the process for the development of student accommodation in Sligo.This follows the government being urged not to ignore local communities when developing accommodation sites for asylum seekers.ATU Sligo recently acquired lands from the County Council to build student accommodation, which may go some way to easing the housing crisis in the region.Independent Cllr Marie Casserly says first year students should be guaranteed on campus housing:
