New GP confirmed for Ardara

A new GP has been confirmed for Ardara. It has been confirmed that Dr. Charles McManus will take up the position. Concerns had previously been expressed over the delays to replace outgoing GP, Dr. Mirellle Sweeney who announced her resignation in May. Dr. Sweeney concludes her position today with Dr. McManus taking up the position on on Friday August 23rd. The surgery in Ardara will be closed on Friday August 23rd to allow for the transfer from Dr. Sweeney to Dr. McManus. Donegal Independent TD Thomas Pringle says while it's positive news a new GP has been found, questions need to be asked over the HSE's approach to the recruitment of the role:
