New Judge for Santa Fe District
from Santa Fe News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has tapped seasoned Santa Fe litigator Dylan OReilly for a new judgeship on the First Judicial District Court, created to handle the surge in complex civil cases across Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, and Los Alamos counties. OReilly, with over two decades of experience in commercial litigation and legal counsel for state institutions, will officially take the bench July 4th. He expressed honor at the appointment and pledged to deliver fair justice across New Mexico’s diverse communities. The move comes as district judges face mounting caseloads, particularly in medical malpractice and wrongful death cases. OReilly, a UNM law graduate and former State Bar commissioner, will need to win the next election to secure his full six-year term.
