Born in Russia but based in Nottingham, Machine Woman is the artist name of Anastasia Vtorova. Inspired and influenced by late-night listening of downbeat minimal electronica, as well as melancholic worldwide cinema, Machine Woman's sound and live show focus on waltzing the line between techno and avant-garde. Releasing on labels such as Peder Mannerfelt, Tesla Tapes, Technicolour and a range of others, Vtorova also runs the label Take Away Jazz Records, which has released music from the likes of DJ Half Price Lager and herself. For her mix, Vtorova selects a range of intimate, personal and flavourful techno, with a few exclusive from herself.
