New York Surf Forecast Sunday September 28 2025 Perfect Beach Conditions Two Foot Waves Sunny Skies

from Montauk Surf Report for Montauk New York · host Inception Point Ai

Good morning, this is your New York surf zone forecast for Sunday, September 28th, 2025. If you're planning a beach day today, we've got some great news for you. Conditions are looking pretty favorable across the entire region.Let's start with what Mother Nature is serving up in the water. Surf heights are holding steady at around two feet across all our zones, from Brooklyn all the way out to the East End of Long Island. It's not going to be epic, but it's perfect for a relaxing day in the water without any gnarly conditions to worry about. The rip current risk is low everywhere today, which means you won't have to stress about dangerous currents. That said, always remember that rip currents can still develop near groins, jetties, reefs, and piers even when the risk is low. If you do head into the surf, swim near a lifeguard and never venture out alone. Now let's talk about the weather above the water. Starting in Brooklyn, expect mostly cloudy skies until nine in the morning, then it clears right out to sunny. We're looking at upper seventies for the high temperature with light south winds around five miles per hour. Over in Southern Queens at Jacob Riis Park and Rockaway Beach, it'll be partly sunny until noon, then sunny. Mid seventies for the high, with southeast winds becoming south in the afternoon. If you're heading to Southern Nassau beaches like Atlantic Beach, Long Beach, or Jones Beach, you'll see partly sunny conditions until one in the afternoon, then full sunshine. Another mid-seventies kind of day with light winds shifting from southeast to southwest.Out in Southwestern Suffolk, think Gilgo or Robert Moses, expect mostly cloudy conditions until noon before breaking into sunshine. Mid seventies again, with winds starting out of the east then swinging to the southwest in the afternoon. Finally, out in Southeastern Suffolk where you've got Smith Point, Cupsogue Beach, and Ditch Plains, it's mostly cloudy until one in the afternoon, then sunny. Mid seventies with that same wind pattern, southeast becoming southwest.Water temperatures are running in the upper sixties to lower seventies depending on where you are, so a rash guard or wetty might feel pretty good depending on your cold tolerance. The UV index is moderate across the board, so slap on that sunscreen even on this partly cloudy morning because those rays will still get you. Here's a fun fact worth noting: this is the last forecast of the year from our office. So make the most of it and get out there and enjoy these beautiful late September conditions while you can. Sunrise is around six forty to six forty-eight depending on your location, and sunset comes early around six thirty-seven to six forty-five.Whether you're a surfer looking for some waves, a swimmer wanting to take a dip, or just someone who loves being near the ocean, today is your day. Get out there and make the most of it.For more http://www.quietplease.aiGet the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AIThis episode includes AI-generated content.
