Next Man Up

What would happen to your church if you were taken out tomorrow? Kind of a morbid question, to be sure, but ultimately a very important one. And this is exactly the test given to the early church! What would happen with the high-profile defection of Judas Iscariot? Would the church crumble? Many overestimate their importance in their church -- believing that everything rests on their shoulders. Leaders can be especially prone to this error. However, probably even more detrimental to the health of the church are those of us who vastly underestimate our importance, who fail to develop personally or missionally while in less prominent roles.
