Subject: Thirsty Souls Review of this morning’s teaching! Pastor Sharon opened with Psalms 63:1-11 KJV. Complete Chapter read in our hearing by Pastor Sharon to get our Wisdom Call kicked off! King David was dealing with his family issues and the threat of being murdered by his son Absalom, who to replace his father as king. Thirst is a natural reaction to our body for water. However, our Spiritual Body also thirst for Spiritual Water that only comes from God Who is our Living Water. King David remembered God when he stepped outside of the Sanctuary! He remembered all the things God had done for him, was doing for him and promised that He would do for him! King David never forgot how he felt and what he experienced in the Sanctuary in the presence of God! He wanted that same experience now that he is in a struggle. Desiring God was that Thirst that was driving him to remember and praise and worship God in the midst of his situation and under the terrible circumstances he found himself as King and father. King David fellowshiped with God and spoke with Him concerning his problems! Verse #3: King David developed his thirst for God by praising God, and offering Thanksgiving to God instead of holding it in, bickering, murmuring, complaining and retaliating against his son or against his God. But King David decided to worship God and declare his Spiritual Renewal. Psalms 63:3 KJV, King David was willing and obedient to the Lord going through his wilderness experience. King David considered God’s mercy, loving kindness and goodness as he is being pursued by his son Absalom. King David begins to use praise as his weapon of warfare to get the attention of his faithful loving kind God. King David praised Gods in order that God would intervene on his behalf. When King David’s praise went up God’s blessings came down and blessed King David and made a way for him to escape out his struggle and he was able to bear it because of his ability to praise and worship his God in the midst of his son trying to take him out as King and replace him on his throne. King David decided that he would praise his God with all that was within him! Fruit of his lips giving thanks, lifting up his hand as a sacrifice, with all his strength, mind and soul and mouth! King David remembers that no one could or would do him like Jesus Christ his personal Lord and Savior! King David was confident, assured, believed, trusted, relying on, depending on, and hoping in his Lord’s Presence and Divine Supernatural Miraculous Power to deliver him out of all his fear and from all of his enemies even if they be of King David’s own household. King David ran to God for a hiding place and he was kept safe, secure, shielded, and protected by God under the Shadow of the Almighty. Even substantial by the God’s Right Hand of Power! Psalms 63:9. KJV, King David rejoiced in the Lord God Almighty because he knew his enemies could not touch God’s Anointed or do God Prophet no harm. King David God would hear his prayer, and urgent cry and answer and show Himself Mighty and Strong! Only if King David deeply desired God! Psalms 42:1-2 KJV. Isaiah 12:1-6 KJV.
