Can Business Success Occur Without Niching Down? Does Being In A Niche Really Matter, Do? Well todays guest on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who is a former legal professional, who left the legal world 6 years ago to pursue her dream of starting her own business. And it seems to me that the services she provides are as varied as they could possible be, so who is she targeting? As she says "If you would have dared to tell me 10 years ago that after attending Law School, I was not going to practice law, I would have laughed you out of the room! However, in my late 20s I had experienced a reawakening that opened my eyes to the startling reality that people all around me (myself included) were yearning for something more. This was a truth that resonated with me so deeply that I could not turn away from it. I took a deep breath and turned the light of truth on myself. I realized that I wanted more money, freedom, direction. I wanted to know that I was making an impact in peoples lives. Ultimately, I wanted to be SUCCESSFUL, and I wanted to help others be successful too." And now with retreats, coaching sessions, and more and more people finding financial and emotional success, it certainly seems that she has found the business that is right for her. So why did she go to law school, when it seems evident that the right business is now, and not what she was focused on as a young lady? And is there a major mistake that she sees the world making, as they leave education and step into a world that is under their control? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Awilda Rivera. Show Highlights During the show we discussed such weighty topics with Awilda Rivera such as: Why happiness will always be fleeting if we attach happiness to external influences. Happiness always comes from within and nowhere else. Awilda talks openly about the hardship that it takes to grow a business, but why the struggle is so important. Awilda shares how she has diversified into several different areas, and the reason why she has done that. and lastly…. Todd Herman left an impression on Awilda that really stuck home "Busy doesn't mean productive". If you can get things off your plate by hiring someone, then do it.
