Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley is holding a campaign rally in Charlotte on Friday, ahead of the North Carolina primary election on Super Tuesday. The event will be held at Suffolk Punch in South End on Friday. Haley's visit comes one day after President Joe Biden and GOP leader Donald Trump visited the southern border in Texas. The hightly anticipated road will connect Interstate 77 to Interstate 85 at the Lowe's corporate headquarters. It's a welcomed change for drivers in Iredell and Cabarrus counties who deal with traffic on I-77 and I-485 while going back and forth. Sports betting is one step closer to going live. Starting Friday, March 1, people can start pulling up their apps and legally sign up in North Carolina.
