Police said a 46-year-old man from Newfield was coaching one of the teams and took issue with a call, leading to an argument between the two. Witnesses told Franklin Township police that McKinnie strangled the coach, and some spectators had to separate them. Gloucester County EMS treated the coach for his injuries. McKinnie is charged with second-degree aggravated assault and has been released until a future court appearance.
