No taxi shortage in Sligo over Christmas

There will be no shortage of taxis in Sligo over Christmas.That's according to a local taxi company owner, who has been refuting claims that there's a scarcity of cabs not just in the North West, but right across the country.The 'Taxi's for Ireland Coalition' says the availability of cabs - especially this weekend - may mean people resort to 'unsafe travel alternatives', or face extended waiting times in 'potentially vulnerable situations'.The coalition is calling on newly elected TD's to work to increase taxi numbers across the country.But owner of Feehilys Taxi, Coach and Bus Hire in Sligo, Daithi Feehily says there's plenty of taxis to cope with demand over the festive season:
