There will be no train service between Sligo and Mullingar on Saturday September 7th, and will be replaced by a bus transfer. While the train is available from Mullingar to Dublin, engineering works are to take place along the rail line, with bus services operating along the route instead. The only services to not be available on Saturday are the 16.00 Connolly to Sligo, and the 16.55 Sligo to Connolly. Barry Kenny, Corporate Communications Manager of Iarnród Éireann, says they aimed to limit the disruptions as major works had to be carried out:
