No Way Home: The Disappearance of Misty Copsey

An evening at the State Fair with her best friend, and a promise to her mother to find a safe ride home by the end of the night. That was the deal that Diana Smith made with her daughter. 13-year-old Misty Copsey was excited to finally gain some independence and spend the afternoon with her friend, 15-year-old Trena Bovard at the Washington State Fair on the evening of September 17, 1992. But when the night comes to an end and Misty misses her bus back to her home in Spanaway, she's determined not to break her promise to her mother. But what starts out as an innocent night out with her best friend, turns tragic when Misty sets out on a dangerous journey to make it home. But Misty's promise to her mother to make it home safe is broken when Misty never makes it home....at all.
