That's running about 20 degrees above normal for early March. Central areas hit 55 under mostly sunny skies. But head north. And it's a different world. The northern part of the state stayed socked in with clouds, struggling to reach just 37 degrees. That's a nearly 20-degree spread from one border to the other. Friday brings a reality check with highs in the 30s and a mix of rain and snow. The weekend rebounds nicely with 50s returning Saturday and Sunday, but early next week looks cooler and more active.
