North west farmers to benefit from advance payments

Over 52 million euro is to be allocated to north west farmers in advance payments under the Basic Income Support for Sustainability and Complementary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability. In figures published by the Department of Agriculture, over 7 thousand farmers in Donegal are to share €29 million. Just over 3 thousand farmers in Leitrim are to receive over €10 and a half million euro while €12 and a half million is going to 3 thousand 500 farmers in Sligo. Minister for Agriculture, Food and Marine and Donegal TD, Charlie McConalogue says the allocation will be of much benefit to farmers in the north west.
