It will include Chapter 13:1,3-14 and Chapter 14:1-14, 17-19, and 22-23.Today Paul will tell us about why we need to choose to do what is right- not because we are are afraid of getting in trouble for doing what is wrong, but because doing what is right is what God wants us to do and we will feel better when we do what is right. Paul let's us in on a helpful hint: that love helps us obey God's laws. In our discussion for daily application we will talk about a wonderful gift that God has given us- the gift of free will. God does not force us to do what is right. He allows us to choose. As we grow spiritually we need to make more decisions based on our understanding of what is right and wrong. Paul previously taught us about the battle that is going on inside us between God's Spirit and our body to do what is right. As we grow in our understanding of knowing God and knowing what He wants us to do we need to use our free will to choose to do what is right because it is the right thing to do, not because we feel we have to, like we did when we were less spiritually mature.
