Heavenly Father, when I read these verses and see the detail that went into the garments just like the detail that went into the tabernacle, I can’t help but wonder if we have become too lax in how we come to You. I know You don’t care what we are wearing as much as You do the condition of our hearts, but I wonder if the condition of our hearts shouldn’t desire to give You our very best, even in the way we dress. I don’t mean that we should dress in expensive clothes, but more that we should dress respectful of You, since we are coming to You to worship You. I do believe we worship differently depending on how we prepare to come into Your presence. That could mean our clothing, or our prayers, definitely our attitude. I just can’t seem to get past how perfect and precise You wanted things. You are a precise God and not one to give us Your leftovers, but it seems like so often I give You my leftovers. I know You don’t expect us to spend all our money on clothes for church, but again, I don’t want to give You my worst. Help me see how You would have me prepare to worship You, and how to give You my very best each and every day. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
