Ode to Blond Radio with Brad & Maple

from The Art of Life Podcast · host Nebula Rivers

Considering the Blond Radio podcast was one of my biggest inspirations into podcasting, feels fitting this interview is the first one. I could say that every single moment, every single episode, was one of my favorite memories from this journey, because it was genuinely filled with SO many. But when people make me pick, the section of the journey that encompasses this episode (and next episode) is consistently in the top 3, and a large part of that is because of the conversation you’ll see in this video.Blond Radio was an online community during quarantine for people who valued listening, empathy, and seeing things from a new point of view, and on this journey I had the privilege to meet Brad, the person who created it, as well as one of my friends from the community, Maple. I decided that, because so much of Blond Radio was centered around a podcast, interviews, and conversations, I would let this episode and the conversations in it breathe a little more and view it as more of a podcast as a way of paying tribute to the Blond Radio podcast (with plenty of audio-easter eggs too 😊 )Blond Radio and Brad had a profoundly positive impact on my life and is a large reason why I am where and who I am today (which I elaborate on in the video). I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to meet him and talk with him.Caption Epilogue: Even though I don't really talk about this in the video, Brad was also a huge inspiration for these videos Im making, as the videos (docs) he makes were my first introduction to the idea of vlogging as an art form, and his videos definitely have influenced mine. So if you enjoy my videos, go check out some of his!!! Brad Radio is his YouTube channel. "Never Saying Goodbye" and "How To Break Your Heart (And Write A Book About It)" are two of my personal favs, and he just dropped a new one this weekend too! ("This Is How You Bond") But really any and all of them are great, just go watch!!! :)
