South Central Ohio took a brutal hit Wednesday night into Thursday morning with heavy rain and severe storms, including an unconfirmed tornado near State Route 32 in Pike County around 4 AM. Widespread damage includes snapped power lines, downed trees, and scattered debris, especially east of Piketon. The Elm Grove Fire Department’s shelter house was damaged, and nearly 3,000 customers lost power by 7 AM.
