In this interview, Oliver Kenyon shares his origin story and teaches the best way to create a landing page. Oliver started out as a chef and fell into the normal working grind. While he was working the weird hours of a chef, he spent all of his spare time online in different communities and learning more about the internet. He loved it so much that he decided to start his own online community, because he thought he could run a better forum than what was currently available. He pitched his idea to his father and grandfather and he hasn't looked back. He has had different websites that have failed and others that have grown and he has learned along the way. School was never for Oliver, which is part of why he became a chef. As an entrepreneur, he understands how important it is to learn and grow but reading isn't for him. When he sits down to read, his mind is constantly wandering and he cannot focus on what he is reading. In the last year, he has learned about Audible and it has been an incredible resource for him. He encourages anyone who has a hard time sitting down to read to listen to books and learn in that way. He remembers a time when he wasn't happy because he was stuck in the job cycle. He wanted to break away and work full time on his new online businesses. He was scared that he wouldn't be able to make it. He was scared to tell his parents he wasn't happy. He was scared to walk away from his job. One day, he did it and he's thankful he did.
