A tale of 2 captains on it as Stevie Me wiped out JT’s opener after 5 minutes in what had the feel of a rather meaningless match. Many of the players look like they need a holiday and who can blame them. Good job that most of the entertainment was off the pitch with the guard of honour; the ovation for Gerrard and his pissy post-match comments about it. Oh and Diego Costa showed he is a man of the people by sitting with the supporters in the East stand.
