Step Ten of the 12 Steps says: We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it. This step is about keeping short accounts—paying attention when we wander from God’s path and returning quickly. The good news? God’s mercy never runs out. As Lamentations reminds us: “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Every day, every moment, can be a new beginning with Him. When we notice we’ve stepped away, His grace meets us right there.
